Stephen Adam Amell
Stephen Adam Amell is a Canadian actor who became most recognized for his role as Oliver Queen in the TV Series, Arrow, which aired from 2012-2020. The show was so successful that it spawned six other shows that became part of CW’s ‘Arrowverse’, a subsequent TV franchise based on characters from the DC Comics. Aside from his acting roles, Amell also co-founded Nocking Point Wines, a light-hearted, albeit premium wine brand located in Washington State’s Walla Walla Valley, in 2012.
Outside of his TV roles, he also starred in the 2016 blockbuster, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, as Casey Jones. After wrapping his role in Arrow, Amell took on the lead in a Showtime Series: Heels, an American TV drama series that follows two brothers in the world of independent professional wrestling, as they struggle for national acclaim in their small town in Georgia.
While Stephen Adam Amell is known for portraying great athleticism in his acting roles, he took this even further by showcasing his acting and wrestling skills in making a guest appearance in WWE’s RAW, and was even awarded a Slammy for “Celebrity Moment of the Year”, for his role during WWE’s SummerSlam match! He didn’t waste the chance to turn this fun appearance into an opportunity to raise money for the children’s hospice, Emily’s House, in Toronto. Following this appearance on WWE, he received an open invitation from All Elite Wrestling’s Cody Rhodes, should he ever decide to return to the wrestling ring.
It’s clear that Stephen Amell finds unique ways to give back, and his ordination through ULC is just one more example of that! Since then, he has continued to act and produce the movie Code 8, following a young man who is pulled into a life of crime alongside other individuals with super powers, and the TV Series Heels has been renewed for a second season.
