Adam Carolla
Adam Carolla is an American comedian, podcaster, and radio personality. Host of The Adam Carolla Show, a comedy podcast that has been running since 2009. In 2011, the show would become the Guinness World Record for most downloaded podcast based on the number of unique downloads between March 2009 - March 2011. Carolla grew up in the San Fernando Valley and attended Los Angeles Valley College for a brief period of time, before dropping out and working a variety of jobs from carpet cleaner to boxing and traffic school instructor. Adam went on to study improvisational comedy with The Groundlings in the early 1990s. He started his radio career in October 1995 as the co-host of the evening radio call-in show, Loveline. In October 2005 Carolla’s new morning radio show was announced on the Infinity Broadcasting network, and in January of 2006, The Adam Carolla Show made its debut. The final show aired on February 20, 2009, and just three days later, he launched The Adam Carolla Show in podcast form. He first launched the show on his personal website, which evolved into the ACE Broadcasting Network, and eventually Carolla Digital, an American podcast network. At the end of 2009 the podcast won iTune’s award for Best Audio Podcast. In the realm of television, Carolla became recognized as co-host of the MTV version of the radio show, Loveline. Then, in 1999, alongside friend and fellow comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, he would launch his first original television series, The Man Show. Both comedian’s left The Man Show in 2003, and Adam would continue his work with Kimmel as a writer and guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. In his later career, Carolla would go on to host such television shows as Speed TV’s The Car Show, and Spike’s Catch a Contractor and Adam Carolla and Friends Build Stuff Live. His later work also includes voice acting in popular animated series including Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and Family Guy, and the animated film, Wreck-It Ralph. His career is one that is very expansive and we’re so glad to add his name to the list of celebrities ordained through the Universal Life Church
