Action Bronson
Born and bred in Queens, New York, Action Bronson is an American actor, wrestler, rapper and songwriter. Born to an American Jewish mother, and Albanian Muslim father, as a child he was raised in his father’s tradition. He first began to garner recognition with the release of his debut mixtape in 2011, Bon Appetit….. Bitch!!!!!, followed shortly by his debut album, Dr. Lecter in March of that year. August 2012, he would sign his first major record deal with Warner Bros. Records, via Vice Records. He then released two mixtapes, Rare Chandeliers (2012), and Blue Chips 2 (2013), before releasing his EP titled, Saaab Stories marking his first major-label debut with Atlantic Records in 2013. In 2016, his first series premiered on Viceland, titled Fuck, That’s Delicious, which is a series that follow Bronson’s travels as he experiences various styles of cooking, from street food to fine cuisine. While the first four seasons of the series aired on Viceland, the series continues with a fifth season as an independent, self-funded project. The independence of the fifth season allowed for the subject matter to expand to include more glimpses into Bronson’s lifestyle, and to showcase more of his own cooking. In 2017, Action Bronson would add Universal Life Church minister to his list of accomplishments. In August of 2017 his third studio album Blue Chips 7000 was released, and in September of that same year he published his first cookbook, titled F*ck, That’s Delicious: An Annotated Guide to Eating Well. Between 2019 and 2022 Bronson released three albums, including White Bronco (2018), Only for Dolphins (2020), and Cocodrillo Turbo (2022). Expanding his experience into acting, he’s had cameo roles in such films as The Irishman (2019), and The King of Staten Island (2020), and even made his first professional wrestling appearance on AEW’s All Out Grand Slam in 2022. His career is blossoming and we’re grateful to include him in the list of celebrities now ordained by the ULC.
